Storyline

The phone rings Sydney ( Lori Singer) answers phone, electronic sounds similar to a fax transmission ensues with rapid visuals of her ear, phone (early 20th century style) and what would seem the inner works of the mind or brain. Subsequently there are sequences of Sydney's past memories in rapid succession which lands here somewhere within these memories into a virtual realty world of surreal sounds and lighting intermixed with variants of her memory. The ambiance of these virtual realities are both beautifully surreal and at the same time haunting. The body of most episodes has Sydney within the VR. 5 settings. Each episode leads up to the previously described transmission and ends with her return to the "known" reality in most cases. There are some cliffhanger episodes whereby she remains within the same VR.5 reality mode for several episodes.
