About this title
Storyline
The first two days in a missing persons investigation are vital. It is said that if the person is not found in that time, the chances of locating him or her alive are cut in half. This series, a spinoff of A&E's popular "The First 48," follows the Chicago Police Department's missing persons unit during an investigation's first 48 hours, the first time the department has allowed unrestricted filming of this kind. Each hourlong episode presents two cases, beginning from the moment the call comes in, as elite, dedicated officers search for husbands, wives, sons and daughters who have disappeared.
