The Briefcase

Storyline

Each week, two hard-working American families undergoing financial setbacks are presented with a briefcase that holds a large sum of cash -- $101,000 -- and are faced with a potentially life-altering decision; the families are given the option of keeping all of the money for themselves or sharing part of the sum with another family in need; each family has 72 hours to decide, but the families don't realize that they have both received identical briefcases with the same instructions; the families are tested as they question their beliefs and consider what is most important.
