Storyline

Visiting Scam City while on vacation never results in fond memories. This travel show with a twist shows why, by exposing the dark side of tourism: thieves, con men and scam artists operating in some of the busiest and most densely populated cities around the world. Investigative journalist and best-selling author Conor Woodman takes viewers to such cities as Rome, Istanbul, Las Vegas and Rio de Janeiro, where he goes under cover to provide a fascinating window into the methodology behind the scammers' mayhem. Woodman plays the role of innocent tourist, as he willingly gets "taken" by shady cabdrivers, illicit drug lords, and expert pick-pockets, to shed light on the routines of seasoned criminals.
