Premiering in 1976, Freddie Prinze and friends was one of the rare chances to see some of Prinze's nightclub material, and featured five, relitively unknown comics: Jay Leno, Tim Thomerson, Elayne Boosler, Richard Belzer and Gary Mule Deer.
