Storyline

FRANK SPEAKING is a wannabe reality TV host with a scheme for attaining fame and fortune. To accomplish his mission he recruits five very desperate recent college grads to be part of his newly conceived show, NEXT GREAT HIRE. The challenge? They must live together in Frank's fabulous mansion by the sea and he will use his connections as the son of wealthy, influential parents, to help each "contestant" find a job. The "contestants" include a hipster math genius MANISHA (formerly GEORGE) LEWIS who has been booted out of his parental home for doing, well, absolutely nothing; TIFFANY CRUCKSHANK, a film student grad who has a side hustle posting YouTube videos featuring her "non-binary" guinea pigs; DEWAYNE LEBOUTH JOHNSON FORRESTER III, a criminal justice major from a intellectual affluent Black family whose parents do NOT approve of him involving himself in this "crazy scheme"; LUI YUAN, the only child of Chinese immigrant parents who has a rather huge personal secret she is hiding from them, and FELICIA CONCEPCION RAMOS CASTILLO a talented illustrator in the US on a student VISA that is about to run out. Now, they must find a job (with Frank's help) within two months and KEEP THAT JOB for a year. But, as the pilot reveals, it's not so easy gaining employment when missteps and miss-matches occur. Frank has a secret of his own that might prove to be all of their undoing.
