Storyline

E24 is the docu soap that portrays the tales that come up at the emergency room in a public hospital, when seconds count and troubles are a matter of life or death. A human outlook on an every day reality. Crude, strong images, in a show that doesn't always have a happy ending. 24 hours a day, 365 days year, a group of doctors work at the emergency room in a Public Hospital. Hundreds of cases a day, each one with its own story behind it, each doctor bearing the hope of finding the solution to some problem. The main characters are actually the patients, who allow the audience to feel identified with their testimonies and comprehend the way to prevent disease and understand the seriousness of some illnesses. Each episode tells real stories about both simple and complex cases, emergencies and routine visits. Reality is show on site, domestic accidents of varying seriousness, knife wounds, childbirths, heart attacks as well as scares with a happy ending. The staging for the whole show is the Hospital itself: consulting rooms, operation rooms and waiting rooms.
