Storyline

It narrates the odyssey that 80 Spanish maidens lived during their trip to Asunción, where they were sent by the Spanish Crown to marry and have children with the Spanish conquerors and thus stop the growing miscegenation. Throughout a journey of six years, women will live in constant danger and will have to fight against hunger, scurvy, the attack of pirates, the stalking of the Indians, the competition with the Portuguese to dominate those territories or the 2,000 kilometers of jungle traveled on foot until they reach their destination.
