Storyline

Christmas special featuring eight segments barely or largely related to winter and Christmas from eight Disney shorts and features. These are: Once Upon a Wintertime (1948) about a human and a bunny boyfriend who must save their girlfriends when the ice they were skating on starts to melt, Pluto's Christmas Tree (1952) about mischievous Chip and Dale who are brought into Mickey and Pluto's home on the Christmas tree that Mickey chops down, the segment from Bambi (1942) where Bambi tries walking on ice, the "You Can Fly" sequence from Peter Pan (1953), several clips from The Clock Watcher (1945) short in which Donald Duck takes a gift wrapping job, the segment from The Sword in the Stone (1963) where Arthur becomes a squire and has a fight with Merlin over it, the "Bibbidi-Bobbody- Boo" sequence from Cinderella (1950) and a Merry Melodies short called The Night Before Christmas (1933) about Santa delivering toys to a house with eight children after which the toys proceed to sing and dance and decorate the house which wakes up the kids. In a wraparound segment, Christmas and winter-related shots from Disneyland and of Disney toys from a Disney vault are shown and singers explain in song what the upcoming segment is about.
