About this title
Storyline
In the boundless tawny prairies and the flat green grasslands of the North American Great Plains, Yakari, a plucky little boy and member of the peaceful Sioux tribe, lives a life full of adventure, accompanied by his faithful best friends, Rainbow, and Buffalo Seed. Blessed with the extraordinary gift of being able to communicate with all animals, great and small, Yakari rides into all sorts of daring escapades with his agile pony-companion, Little Thunder, as his spiritual guide and totem animal, the magnificent Great Eagle, is always close-by to give invaluable lessons about respect, peace, and nature. Each day brings a new and exciting challenge. Can the young Native American learn from them to become a great Sioux?
