Volcanoes: A Window Into Geological Time

Storyline

The film looks at the powerful forces that create volcanoes. It gives a detailed account on the catastrophic events at Mount St. Helens 1981 and revisits the site today. It also looks at Vesuvius and Etna as well as visiting less known volcanoes in Africa and Indonesia. The film boast spectacular shots of eruptions and strives to give answers to questions like: What do we know about Volcanoes? How predictable are they today? The answer it finds is that we still know very little.
