Storyline

The show is opened by host Robert Urich, who welcomes viewers and the live audience to Las Vegas, and teases the show's grand finale: the vanish of the Space Shuttle Explorer. Japanese illusionist Princess Tenko appears from an empty box, and is then shackled and chained by her assistants. She must escape a water-filled tank on just one breath of air. The Pendragons, Jonathan and Charlotte, present their signature illusion: metamorphosis, a lightning fast transposition, that includes an amazing costume change by Charlotte. In a special performance, Max Maven reads the minds of the television audience at home. Magician Greg Frewin amazes with his dove production routine. Franz Harary introduces one of his amazing illusions: the "Slicer". He then introduces the woman who's volunteered to be sliced into nine pieces - Charlotte Pendragon. Comedy magician Fielding West tries to levitate a volunteer from the audience, with hilarious results. Las Vegas star Lance Burton performs his world-renowned close-up act, which has won awards all over the world. Mac King roams the casinos of Las Vegas, showing off his close up skills. Melinda Saxe, the First Lady of Magic, meets special quest actress Beverly Johnson, and teaches her how to saw a woman in half. Charlotte Pendragon volunteers to be the woman! Spanish magician Topas performs his signature production routine, and Tom Mullica's bizarre diet astounds the audience. Melinda Saxe returns with a sexy levitation stunt, making a silver ball float, then producing a hypnotized Charlotte Pendragon floating in mid-air. Bill Malone shows us this classic card trick. Alain Choquette performs close up magic of the most precise kind. In the show's grand finale, Franz Harary is ready to try and vanish Space Shuttle Explorer. First he introduces the crew: Melinda Saxe and Charlotte Pendragon. Boarding the shuttle, Melinda and Charlotte are strapped and chained into their seats, and the door is locked. Then Franz makes the space shuttle and its crew completely disappear.
