Storyline

Taichi Saotome plays the lead role in TV Asahi drama L "The Sealer" which started airing in January 2022! This is an original real action drama with an uncanny story and impressive fighting scenes that depicts the battle between "Kegare Yaiba (impure blades)" created by the darkness of the human heart and "Fuujinshi (blade sealing masters)" who can seal Kegare Yaiba. Taichi Saotome plays the mysterious protagonist "Kakeru Osagami", who is a blade sealing master. He fights against those holding blades with only a "sheath". One day, a man is found killed with a sword in a park in the Tokyo metropolis. Despite signs indicating that he was stabbed by a long, sharp blade through his back to the abdomen, he did not bleed. One of the detectives Yoshihara, who had been carrying out the investigation, spots two men Osagami Kakeru and Iotsu Sho at the crime scene. His expression darkens and grumbles to a junior detective Naito, "They are jinxes. Investigations will always be stopped whenever they come". Yoshihara and Naito can only leave the crime scene just as, Sanjo Mio, a young reporter from the tabloid magazine News Days, arrives. She sees black ashes suddenly coming out from the dead body. However, she realizes that she is the only one who can see the ashes when she gets ignored by the detectives. She has questions about this bizarre case but her chief editor Murai is dismissive. Mio begins gathering information on her own in her search for the truth about the man's death. As she comes out of the office building where the man worked, she encounters Kakeru and Sho whom she had seen at the crime scene. The only thing Kakeru tells her when asked about the black ashes is to run away once she sees it, if she wants to live. The mystery deepens. Mio eventually gets to a man called Izaki who bears a grudge against the victim, but ... ...
