Storyline

Present-day Chicago: Amanda Hutton is thrust back into a world of violence and intrigue, which she thought she'd left behind. A retired member of the Scarlet Line, a secret, hundred-year-old society of female bodyguards, she must 're-activate' in order to track down her former protégée, who has turned from protector to assassin. With the help Chicago Police Detective Don Richards, and unbeknownst to her fiancée, Marcus Laing, Amanda must track down the rogue "Scarlet" and bring her to justice... if she doesn't take Amanda down first.
