Teletón Colombia

Storyline

Teleton Colombia is a broadcast benefice 27 hour TV event that aims to operate and maintain four rehabilitation centers for disabled people located in Barranquilla, Cartagena, Manizales and Soacha. Event is broadcast in three TV channels: Caracol, RCN and Canal 1. It has started since 1980 until today, celebrating their 23th edition in 2018. Teleton Colombia has been brought to Colombia in 1980 by Carlos Pinzón, learning from the first Chilean Teleton in 1978 hosted by Don Francisco (Mario Kreutzberger). Currently, Teleton Colombia is joined to the Regional Latin America telethon organization (ORITEL) with other eleven Latin American countries, including México, Peru, Chile and El Salvador, for example.
