Storyline

Independent filmmaker Christopher Garetano tries to find the truth behind America's darkest and creepiest stories in the Travel Channel's series, "Strange World." Garetano embarks on a boots-on-the-ground investigation into urban legends, conspiracy theories and unexplained occurrences from across the country. In the premiere episode, he returns to Camp Hero Air Force Base looking for evidence of the alleged government brainwashing experiments he investigated in his award-winning documentary, "Montauck Chronicles." Additionally, Garetano explores the alleged curse attached to James Dean's death car, the legend of a 1980s arcade game supposedly created as a mind-control experiment gone amuck and mysterious disappearances on Mount Shasta in Northern California over the years.
