Shahada Ya Kwanza

Storyline

Shahada ya Kwanza is a story of a group of students pursuing various Bachelor degree programs at a University of Vibonzo in Dar es Salaam. Through their daily interactions, college pressures, love interests and family issues, all the stuff that college students go through, these youth have to make various choices daily that will determine their fate. The main characters, Kwame, Vera, Zuhura and Mrisho, each is bringing their own unique set of aspects and background that a lot of youth in Tanzania and all over the world can identify with as common for a typical University student. The question is, how much will the demands of their degree programs and new college life pressure them to change and adopt in order to survive? Main action is mostly taking place at the Mbagala Hostel, where they are all residing when the semester is ongoing. Also other actions are taking place at various University locations, mostly the Lecture halls and Course Seminar rooms.
