About this title
Storyline
The series tells about the historical period in which Cordoba flourished before the time of the Taifa kings, and the era of the Amerid state that arose during the caliphate of Hisham al-Muayyad Billah ibn al-Hakam with the power of its founder, Muhammad ibn Abi Amer, the chamberlain al-Mansur. It also tells about the attempts of Subh, the Bashkeng mother of the Umayyad Caliph Hisham, to regain her son’s kingdom. It presents a picture of Andalusia at that time, and the ability of the Arabs to repel the European kings close to them in the kingdoms of Castile and Leon, and ends with the death of Subh and a statement about the end of the Amerid state and the emergence of the Taifa kings.
