Storyline

Max is the up-and-coming lobbyist, the undisputed number one in the capital. Until Valerie comes to Berlin from Brussels to advance her career at the rival company and Max gets in the way. She is a serious opponent. Although sparks fly between the two, Max and Valerie prefer to play against each other rather than on the same side. They manage to reach their goals with charm, brains and strategy. "Public Affairs" looks behind the scenes of power and the powerful in political Berlin - sometimes surprising and revealing, sometimes bitter and funny. The series takes you into the world of capital city politics and behind the facades of the success-driven opponents Max and Valerie. In addition to economic interests and the associated power games, they have private secrets that they are trying to protect - but will they succeed?
