Storyline

For some people, getting tattoos is a form of expression and a way to distinguish themselves from others. On "Needles & Pins," tattoo artist Grace Neutral travels across the world to explore the tattoo subculture in different regions and find out how it has become a global phenomenon. She seeks out people who have, in her words, "pushed the boundaries of body art and have found a meaningful way to embellish themselves." It's not just about the people Grace meets, though, as she also learns where the markings come from and their originations.
