Storyline

Janine, a smart and passionate woman, grew up with her emotionally distant father. All her life, there was only one thing she dreamed of--to have a perfect family. She finds the chance to make this dream come true when "Mr. Perfect," Matthew, proposes to her. However, Janine finds out that she is the product of an affair that her father had with a married woman named Consuelo. Janine then blames Consuelo's actions for her miserable childhood. After finding out that her mother is still alive, Janine sets out to the province to find Consuelo. While there, she meets Jake and develops an unspoken sexual attraction with him. Not long after, they fall in love and a passionate sexual encounter occurs. Janine realizes that she has broken her vow. In a way, she has become her mother. Now, Janine is left to decide.
