Storyline

In 2021, a tumultuous year, Magnolia's past life is increasingly revealed through nostalgic flashbacks that show her evolution as both a child and an adult. Diagnosed with schizophrenia at a young age, Magnolia struggles with damaged relationships with her mother, best friend, and deceased sister who visits her, teetering on the edge of a mental crisis. She frequently drifts into the past and experiences symptoms triggered by present circumstances. After her best friend Gia speaks poorly of her, they have a falling out, and Gia and their other two friends attempt to reconcile with Magnolia. However, filled with resentment and tired of the drama, Magnolia refuses to make amends with Gia, despite the high stakes for her mental health and her relationships with her family and friends. Eventually, Magnolia is ready to reconcile with her mother and best friend, but it's too late.
