What happens when the hand that reaches out to comfort is the same hand around their lover's throat? At the families' request, renowned family interventionist, Kristina Wandzilak, uses her experience as a recovering addict to help couples whose toxic love is intensified by their downward spiral into drug addiction. Viewers will have a front row seat as these couples struggle with their demons and fight for a better future. Sorting through their corrosive interpersonal relations with family, friends, and their lovers, Kristina devises a treatment plan which includes intervention, rehabilitation, and long term recovery. But can the couples summon the willpower to conquer their addictions?
