Storyline

Eight-part series of documentaries in which the viewer is taken through more than 250,000 years of history. Countless places where previous inhabitants of the Low Countries left their mark are depicted. Throughout the Netherlands, but also in Belgium, Germany, New York, Ghana, Suriname and Indonesia, Charles Groenhuijsen goes in search of stories from the history of the Netherlands. It takes us past bones, stones, old texts, drawings, paintings, photographs, radio fragments and television images.
