Storyline

Al final de la década de los ochentas, en el negocio ilícito más lucrativo de la época, 'el oro blanco', las rutas de las Bahamas y la Florida, ya no son tan viables para el transporte de la cocaína; la persecución de los miembros de los carteles colombianos y su guerra entre ellos mismos se intensifica, generando que estos bandidos sean extraditados, encarcelados en su país o asesinados. Algunos son condenados al encierro voluntario, escondidos en algún rincón para evitar su captura, por cuenta de las fuerzas armadas o de sus enemigos. El negocio cambia y es cuando aparece Amado Carrillo Fuentes `El Señor de los Cielos', que en forma muy discreta se dedica al transporte del producto que proveen los narcotraficantes colombianos restantes, convirtiéndose en el narcotraficante más poderoso de los cuatro carteles que operan en México: el de Juárez, el del Golfo, el de Sinaloa y el de Tijuana. Su historia se devela en este drama cargado de acción y giros inusitados.
