About this title

Storyline

`Cradle to Grave' is a sitcom adaptation of Danny Baker's autobiography, `Going to Sea in a Sieve'. The show is based in 1974 and revolves around the daily lives of the Baker family. Peter Kay stars as Danny's father, Fred, and Lucy Speed plays the role of his wife, Bet. The Baker household also includes children Sharon, Michael and 15-year-old Danny, who as the spokesperson reveals what life is like with the family. Fred is a south London docker who doesn't always do things by the book, much to the disapproval of Bet. Meanwhile, Sharon is about to get married and Danny struggles through puberty.
