Storyline

A story about a contemporary mother-daughter relationship follows Mai Chenghuan, a post-95 girl from an ordinary family in Shanghai who struggles to navigate between being filial and being loyal to herself. Mai Chenghuan (Yang Zi) is urged by her mom to discuss marriage with her boyfriend Xin Jialiang (Niu Junfeng), but their families' differences in economic status causes their relationship to become imbalanced. Furthermore, her mother's excessive interference in her life accelerates their breakup. Mai Chenghuan learns to break away from her mother's assertiveness and focus on work. Mai Chenghuan's transformation is recognized by her step-grandmother who entrusts her with the most important hotel management responsibilities. Step-grandma's real grandson Yao Zhiming (Xu Kai) who's a professional hotelier gradually gets to know Mai Chenghuan as they work together. Surrounded by the sincerity of the Mai family, Yao Zhiming's relationship with Mai Chenghuan heats up. From being an ordinary girl, she embarks on an extraordinary path of growth that is unique to her.
