Amy, The Girl With The Blue Schoolbag

Storyline

'Amy, the Girl with the Blue Schoolbag" is a soap opera for kids. As a baby, Amy was rescued from the sea by Captain Matías and his wife Perla, who later dies, but Captain Matías promises his wife he'll take care of Amy. But he's destroyed by his wife's death; he keeps losing everything, has almost no money, and is about to lose his ship, the only thing he has left. Amy is a mischievous girl and dresses like a boy. Her real father is a millionaire, Octavio, who lost his newborn baby (whom he thinks was a boy) in a hurricane and is searching for "him." He meets Amy and they become friends without realizing that they are father and daughter. She also meets a nice boy, Raul, with whom she falls in innocent love. There is also an evil woman named Carlota who hates orphans but uses them to get donations--money she spends on fine jewelry for herself. To get more donations, she needs to get more orphans, and she is now after Amy, whose origin is in question.
