Anschutz Film Group/Walden Media, AEG Live and Ken Ehrlich Productions present "Teachers Rock," a 90-minute special event featuring some of the biggest names in music and film paying tribute to our nation's educators; later to be broadcast as a 60-minute television special on CBS primetime - Friday, August 17th. The evening includes live performances by Dierks Bentley, Garth Brooks , Fun and Josh Groban and live appearances by Miranda Cosgrove, Viola Davis, Josh Hutcherson, Pauley Perrette and more. Ticket proceeds will support Teach for America , Donors Choose and Feeding America's Backpack Program. Presenting sponsors include the Walden Media film Won't Back Down, starring Academy Award nominees Viola Davis and Maggie Gyllenhaal and Academy Award winner Holly Hunter, scheduled to be released by 20th Century Fox on Sept 28, 2012. The film is an inspiring story of friendship, hope and courage in which two determined mothers stop at nothing to transform their children's failing inner city school.
