Walking With Elephants

Storyline

Explorer, author and ex-paramilitary officer Levison Wood sets out to experience the migration of Botswana's elephants by walking alongside them on their 650-mile trek across Botswana to the Okavango Delta. He explores why the country's elephants, previously well-protected, have been dropping in numbers, and speaks to local people to understand how they see the problem. Walking with elephants also comes with risks, however. Wood experiences several close-call encounters with wildlife of a type that is rarely seen in other documentaries, which creates a realistic and modern focus on the interaction of human and wild animal - a relationship that is becoming more and more inevitable.
