Storyline

36 years ago, Ferdinand and Imelda Marcos fled to Hawaii amid the "People Power Revolution." Deposed dictator Ferdinand Marcos would die in exile in 1989. An aggrieved Imelda Marcos would spend the rest of her life plotting her dynasty's resurgence. In 2022, as Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. sought to reclaim the seat his father once held, Hawaii News Now stumbled across hours of archival footage from the Marcos' years in Hawaii. "The Imelda Tapes" tell the story of a woman who had a single goal: Redemption.
