Storyline

1937: War with Japan is threatening to break out. Shanghai is the most exciting and most violent city in the world. 'The Paris of the Orient' to some, 'The Whore of the East' to others. Du Yuesheng, spiritual leader of the all-powerful Chinese Green-Gang controls the world's trade in opium from Shanghai. The Green-Gang also control Shanghai's police forces. But now Du Yusheng's control is being challenged... With the Invasion of China, the Japanese Yakuza have made it clear they want to make the opium trade their own. The resulting gang wars spill from the underbelly of Shanghai to the docks and streets of Liverpool, home to Europe's oldest Chinatown.
