Storyline

Based on the series of novels by the acclaimed author Paula Daly and set against the picturesque backdrop of the Lake District, this six-part emotional thriller follows the lives of three complex and vibrant women: chaotic and disorganised mother-of-three Lisa Kallisto, played by Anna Friel, physiotherapist Rox, played by Sinead Keenan, and Kate Rivery played by Rosalind Eleazar, who seems to have it all. Although the women are each on their own unique and often shocking journeys, they have one thing in common: they are all desperately trying to juggle work and home life and deal with the pressures brought on by modern parenting. The series takes a look at the challenges faced by modern families and explores what it means to be a perfect mother.
