Storyline

Hicksters is a comedy that follows a hipster couple from New York City as they try their hand at farming in rural America. A story about mixing, about striving to make life work as a millennial, about our current economy and cultural landscape, Hicksters is a quirky exploration of what it really means to be an American. Hicksters tracks the lovable Ruby and Alex Hadid-Robinson, as they transition from urban life in New York City to country life on Ruby's recently inherited farm...and start a social-media trending animal sanctuary, which neither of them have experience in. While every episode throws Ruby and Alex into scenarios that stretch them - and their marriage - to the limit, they are partners-in-crime and will strive to make their new life work. Because For Richer or For Poorer, in Farm Life and in Health...or something like that.
