About this title

Storyline

The story begins in 1789 in Congo, in Africa, where a tribe celebrates the marriage of Luena and Kamau. The natives, trapped and sold as slaves. Kamau is killed, Luena and is raped by an overseer and died. After 18 years, Juliana, her daughter, grew up as a slave on the Avelar's farm. She is a friend and confidant of Teresa, the youngest youngest daughter of Colonel Avelar, but is hated by Maria Isabel, the oldest daughter. Juliana and Miguel, a Portuguese immigrant, falls in love and facing the world for this love.
