Storyline

Annie, a small-town teacher, moves to a prison town. Seeing many of her students raised with family members behind bars, Annie decides to enter the steel doors, hoping to make a difference. Although her family and close friends have concerns, they support her decision. Annie sets out to teach offenders in a world utterly different from anything she had experienced before. Unbiased and without judgment, she embraces the challenges to help these men achieve, overcome, and find value amongst themselves. Annie gave them an education that became a life-changing experience, but they also gave her a new way to look at the world; both sides received an education of happiness, sadness, and triumph along the way.
