Storyline

Six young women of varying political beliefs road-trip through northern and southern states to explore their political positions, in the lead up to the 2016 election- when they will cast their first-ever vote in a presidential election. Episode 1: The journey of the (political) Party Girls begins. They meet for the first time ever in Philadelphia and learn that they will be attending the Democratic National Convention; and with that, their summertime slumber party traveling through various cities begins. Episode 2: When the women meet with executives from nonpartisan social justice organization Color Of Change, they grapple with their electoral choices at the top of the ticket in the 2016 elections. Episode 3: A camping trip to North Carolina gets stickier than planned when a conversation with a local flairs their discontent. Episode 4: In Georgia, a dinner meeting with two invited guests turns in a political debate. Episode 5: A trip to the home of the grieving father of a slain African-American teen makes personal a public debate on gun control. Episode 6: The end of this journey marks the beginning of many more for these six young women, as they embrace the new political insights resulting from meeting each other.
