Storyline

In the series, Korkeasaari Zoo opens up from a new perspective. We get to know the zookeepers, veterinarians, and their varied work with different species of animals - and of course, we also meet the animals. A day at Korkeasaari Zoo can include everything from training the zoo's bears to step up on a scale to feeding squirrel pups in the Wildlife Hospital. Although the work of zookeepers and other professionals at Korkeasaari Zoo focuses on animal welfare, it is much more than feeding and cleaning. As wildlife experts, the staff is involved in wildlife reintroduction projects, fieldwork for the conservation of endangered species, and inspiring visitors of all ages to become conservationists.
