Storyline

Retail consultant Mary Portas has helped many shopkeepers raise their standards of service and increase sales. Her pointed opinions and the advice she's handed out over the years come in handy as the doyenne of the high street stakes her professional reputation on launching her own shop. This fly-on-the-wall series follows Portas as she designs a sexy, stylish clothing line aimed at middle-aged women, finds a retailer willing to give her floor space, and hires and trains a sales staff.
