Storyline

Channeling her personal experience as a stalking victim for eight years, criminal psychologist Dr. Michelle Ward has made it her mission to probe psychopathic behavior. In "The Mind of a Murderer," Ward goes behind bars to interview violent killers and offer insight into what drives people to commit heinous acts. Each hourlong episode begins with Ward combing through evidence to formulate a theory on a killer's true psyche. She then conducts a riveting interview with a killer -- face to face, alone in a room -- which is contrasted with emotional statements from the victim's family and friends who are seeking closure. Ward also hosts the series "Stalked: Someone's Watching," which profiles stories of stalking victims and the psychology of their perpetrators.
