Storyline

An 8 episode documentary series that tells the story of the Greek revolution of 1821, the liberation from the Turkish occupier and the creation of the new Greek state. Dramatic representations give flesh and blood to the daily life of the people, to the heroic battles of the protagonists of the revolution, but also to the civil conflicts of the Greeks of 1821. The series gives the viewer the opportunity to experience the fascinating events that created today's Greece, to reconsider the myths of the struggle for freedom, but also to deepen the importance of the revolution of 1821 to the present day.
