The series "Samarqand" inspired by a novel with the same name of the Lebanese writer Amin Maalouf takes you in a distinctive vision to a work that falls on the edge of reality by conveying the fact of what happened in the past in a historical and interesting form of the sultans and their relations with their neighbors and servants in ancient times, combining the life of poet and philosopher Omar Khayyam, and Hassan al-Sabah, the founder of human liquidation group band Hashashin, the most powerful system of assassinations known history, and perhaps this is what made the director shows the character of Hassan al-Sabah in the first episodes defeats a group of soldiers alone; history shows that the genius of Hassan al-Sabah is concentrated in his organizational and intellectual ability, which enabled him to form a military and ideological organization of the most complex organizations throughout history. The series also presents the character of the Ismaili preacher, Ibn al-Atash, who is deeply familiar with the Islamic sects and are very familiar with the Islamic doctrines, whether the sects of the Sunnis and the community or even the Shiite sects, and by understanding and deepening these doctrines can penetrate the ranks of the public, and allow these preachers to spread the teachings of the Ismayliya across the Muslim world. Hassan Al-Sabah, who was born and died in Iran, is played by Syrian actor Abed Al Fahed. Known as Sayyed or Shaykh al-Jabal, is the founder of what is known as the New Call or the Ismaili Nizari Ismailis for Orientals and Middle Easterns, or Assassins according to the European name. Hassan al-Sabah traveled inside Iran for nine years, until he began his call in the province of Dailam and Mazandaran. He had some success. Hasan avoided cities in his travels and preferred to travel through the desert until he settled in Damjan. To attract the population from there, and continued for 3 years until his order was revealed and the minister ordered the king's regime to arrest him, but he escaped and fled to the Caspian area. He lived in a period of war between different sects: the Seljuks, Abbasids, Ayyubids, Crusaders and other sects. Youssef Al Khal plays the role of Omar Al Khayyam; he was the first to invent trigonometry and third degree algebraic equations by cutting the cone, the famous quartet. The series refers to the conflict in the harem of Sultan Malakshah through the relationship between Zubaydah or the mother of Sultan Barkaiarq and Turkan, the mother of Mahmoud. This conflict after the death of Malakshah is one of the main reasons for the weakness and deterioration of the state of the Seljuk Empire. The series added a side story of Princess Atoon bint Malakshah, which was resident of Samarqand and then fled to Isfahan, was kidnapped by thieves and sold to a slave trader, who sold her in the slave market. The series is written by Mohammed Al-Batosh and directed by Christian Jordanian director Eyad Al Khzuz.
