Storyline
This was a professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) event and WWE Network event produced by WWE for the SmackDown brand. It took place on December 4, 2016, at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas. This was the eighth event under the TLC: Tables, Ladders and Chairs chronology. Seven matches were contested at the event, including one match on the pre-show. In the main event, AJ Styles defeated Dean Ambrose in a Tables, Ladders and Chairs match to retain the WWE World Championship.
