Storyline

Showcasing the sparkling decor that decks the halls of the People's House every year, First Lady Jill Biden leads Jonathan Scott and Zooey Deschanel through the White House's magnificent rooms - which have been decorated to the theme of 'We the People' by White House Residence staff as well as more than 150 volunteers from across the country. In the spirit of togetherness, the 2022 display encompasses America's shared values - the belief in possibility, optimism and unity. The theme is brought to life by an astounding array of decorations, including more than 83,615 holiday lights; 77 Christmas trees; 300 candles; 12,000 ornaments; 1,600 bells; approximately 14,865 feet of ribbon; and DIY projects that can be recreated at home.
